Online counselling
& psychotherapy

In-person sessions have something that online doesn't quite replicate. Being in the same room as someone, the quality of connection that comes from that, the ability to see more of a person. I notice that difference and I think it's worth being honest about it.

What I've also found is that finding the right person matters more than the format. A lot of people have been putting therapy off for months, sometimes years, because the commute is impractical, the schedule won't bend, or the cost of in-person work is out of reach. Online makes it possible to start, and for many people that turns out to be the more important thing.

I offer online sessions via video call, across the UK. Sessions are 50 minutes, usually weekly to begin with.

Is online therapy right for you?

It works well for most people and most presenting difficulties. The therapeutic relationship builds in the same way it does in person. Depth is possible online. If you've never tried it, it can feel strange for the first few minutes and then you stop noticing.

If we try it and it genuinely isn't working for you, we can talk about what else might.

What we might work on

Anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, grief, addiction, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, the patterns that keep repeating, the longer aftermath of difficult experiences. Questions of identity and belonging, including LGBTQ+ concerns. Loneliness. The parts of life that don't resolve neatly or quickly.

I'm comfortable working with people for whom faith, spirituality, or creativity are part of how they understand themselves and their lives. I work with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism, and I'm genuinely affirming of all backgrounds, orientations, and identities. One thing online makes possible is finding someone who actually fits rather than someone who's simply nearby.

Fees

Online sessions are on a sliding scale between £40 and £65. They're priced lower than in-person sessions because the costs involved are lower, and it made sense to reflect that in what you pay. If cost is still a barrier, get in touch and we'll work out what's possible.
